A Hidden Killer and Why
Menorca is a very humid island and for many years the construction industry has tred to keep the moisture out when what we should have been doing was to get it out.
This year alone we have delt with 2 fallen ceilings that have had the weight to kill their ocupantes and we strongly advise you all not to avoid the warning signs. If you have peeling paint on your walls at the bottom this is a sign of rising damp, a common problem here but if left un checked this moister slowly eats away at ceiling supports and steel beams.
